Offline and private
FichaPet keeps pets, visits, vaccines, and treatments in a local database on your device. There is no account to create and no FichaPet server holding the history.
Most pet apps ask for an email before showing you anything, then keep the health history on their servers. FichaPet opens and works: the records live in a database on the phone.
For day-to-day use there is no FichaPet user account and no cloud database of pet records. Nothing about your pet is sold, and there are no ads.
Recording a visit, a vaccine, a treatment, a symptom, or a weight works with the phone in airplane mode: a rural road, a basement clinic, a trip abroad.
Reminders are scheduled by the phone itself, so a dose alert does not depend on a network connection either.
You can export a JSON backup file and import it on another phone, which is how a device change happens without starting over. The file is yours; it is not uploaded to us.
Automatic iCloud backup is planned for iOS as a Pro feature, and is a different thing from the free JSON export.
