Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Introduction

NASCIMENTO SOFTWARE DESENVOLVIMENTO DE PROGRAMAS LTDA ("Nascimento Software", "we", "us") operates the FichaPet mobile application (the "App") and the marketing website at fichapet.app. This privacy policy describes how we handle information in connection with the App and the website.

2. Data collection

FichaPet is designed as an offline application. Pet profiles, vet visits, vaccines, treatments, symptoms, notes, photos you attach, and related care records entered into the App are stored on your device. Day-to-day use does not require a FichaPet account and does not sync pet health content to FichaPet-operated cloud servers. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your pet health records as part of normal App use. You may optionally export or import a backup file you control; that file is not uploaded to FichaPet servers.

3. Optional cloud backup

Automatic backup is an optional Pro feature that is off by default and only works if you turn it on yourself. On iOS, the App saves backup copies to your own iCloud account; on Android, to your own Google Drive, in a hidden app data folder that only FichaPet can access. A backup contains the pet records you entered in the App, including attached photos. Backups go directly from your device to Apple or Google: they never pass through or get stored on servers operated by us, and we have no access to them. Backups stay in your account until you delete them, including after you uninstall the App.

4. Google user data (Google Drive)

When you turn on backup on Android, the App asks for your permission to access Google Drive with a single scope, drive.appdata ("See, create, and delete its own configuration data in your Google Drive"). The App uses this access only to create, list, download, and delete its own backup files in that hidden folder, so you can restore your pets later on this or another device. It cannot see, open, or change any other file in your Google Drive, and it does not request your name, email address, contacts, or any other Google data. Data accessed through Google APIs is processed only on your device: it is not transferred to us or to any third party, not used for advertising, not sold, and not used to train AI or machine learning models. FichaPet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can turn backup off at any time in the App, revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and delete the backups in your Google Drive settings, under "Manage apps".

5. Analytics and diagnostics

We may receive anonymized or aggregated crash and performance diagnostics through the App Store and Google Play to improve stability. Those platform reports are technical in nature and are not a copy of your pet health records. The marketing website may use privacy-focused analytics without cookies to measure traffic. Website analytics do not include pet health data from the App. The App sends anonymous usage statistics to PostHog, a product analytics service hosted in the United States, so we can tell whether onboarding and the subscription screen work: which onboarding steps are completed, whether a first visit was recorded, which screen opened the subscription offer, and whether a purchase was started, cancelled, or failed, plus when the App is installed, opened, or updated. These statistics are tied to a random identifier created by the App, never to your name, email, or pet, and contain no pet health content: no names, visits, vaccines, treatments, symptoms, weights, or photos. IP addresses are discarded. You can turn this off at any time in the App under Customization > Privacy > Share usage data. Crash reports go to Sentry with technical details only (device model, app version, and the error) and without pet health content.

6. Third-party services

Subscription status for FichaPet Pro is handled through the App Store or Google Play and related purchase validation (for example RevenueCat). That flow covers subscription and billing status only and does not include pet health content. RevenueCat also forwards subscription events (trial started, purchase, renewal, cancellation, with plan and price) to PostHog, linked to the anonymous usage identifier while usage data sharing is on, and to Meta, so we can measure which advertisement led to a subscription. On iOS, subscription events go to Meta only if you allowed tracking. The App also includes Meta's SDK, for a single purpose: measuring which advertisement led to an install, so we can tell whether advertising is worth paying for. It reports app installs and app opens to Meta, together with your device advertising identifier. It does not send pet profiles, visits, vaccines, treatments, symptoms, photos, or any other record you enter, and it has no access to them. On iOS the advertising identifier is shared only if you allow tracking when the system asks, and declining changes nothing else in the App. On Android you can reset or limit that identifier in your device settings. We do not integrate with data brokers, and we do not sell pet health data. Optional automatic backup to iCloud or Google Drive is described in sections 3 and 4.

7. Data security

Your data is stored locally on your device and protected by the device's native encryption and security mechanisms. We recommend enabling a device passcode or biometric lock. The App may request photo library access so you can attach images to visits or vaccines; those images stay on your device unless you export a backup yourself. Optional app lock uses your device's biometric authentication or passcode through the operating system's secure APIs. The App does not access or store your biometric templates.

8. Children's privacy

FichaPet is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will note changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Data retention and deletion

Because pet health records live on your device, you control retention. You can delete records in the App or remove everything by uninstalling it. Since FichaPet does not host your pet health content on company servers for day-to-day use, uninstalling the App removes that information from the device. Store subscription records remain subject to Apple or Google account policies. Backups you turned on in iCloud or Google Drive stay in your own account until you delete them (see sections 3 and 4).
